Cards

Here's a quick card I made today for a friend who needed a "thinking of you" card.  I was really surprised how much I loved the way it turned out(no ribbon, buttons or bows and it still looks cute!)  The paper was all scrap from other projects and the stamps were from the $1.50 bin at Micheals...hope you like it :)

My friend Holly's stagette is this Saturday and our friend Roxanne came up with a great idea for her.  Instead of people buying gifts, everyone can pitch in some money so Holly can buy herself some pretty jewelry for her wedding day.  Then Roxanne asked me if I could make a big card with envelope inside for all the girls to sign and to hold the money.   I used the same shimmer cardstock I used for her invites, embossed her name and used the same white ribbon too.  Had to throw in some bling too!!  Here's the card, hope you like it :)

Just thought I'd do a double post today since I am so behind on my blog.  So I guess I am the official "birthday card maker" for all of my friends since they all ask me to make them when they need one, lol!! Today my friend Holly needed a card for her nephew Parker's birthday.  She asked me to color co-ordinate with the batman wrapping paper she used, so blue and yellow it is!  Was excited that I got to use some of the new stamp sets I bought in the clearance section at Scrapbookers Paradise...LOVE the 75% off stuff, how can you say no to that??!!  I also used my cricut to cut out letters and sentiment card.  Thought I would add a little something on the inside of the card...if you look closely at the tag on the bday cake stamp, I added a P for Parker...love this stamp...just only if I had some copics!

Haven't posted in a while but here's the first of many to come!  These are the wedding invitations that I made(with lots of help from my friend Roxanne and the bride Holly).  All in all we made 125 invitations and probably put in about 100 hours of hard labour,lol...mostly picking glitter and drinking wine :)  I started out with awesome black shimmer cs and thought that with the white ribbon matched Holly's balck/white theme perfectly.  The initials on the front of the card are embossed(Holly thought the lower case letters suited her informal wedding) and the glitter branches(they match her centerpieces) were just stamped with a glue pad, glittered then sealed, which was quite the process but made the cards so beautiful!  I can't forget our friend Lisa who printed off all the info for the invitations...she picked out awesome fonts and formatted it all to fit!  These are pictures of about 75 of the invites and I had to throw in a picture of the reservation card that was tucked in a pocket on left side of the invitation.  Hope you like them!!!
